SAN FRANCISCO, CA — Michael J. Reid, a graduate of Mansfield University and Elmira College, recently launched a management consulting firm, Michael James Reid & Co., in San Francisco.

The company provides executive search and retention services to Fortune 500 high-tech and consumer goods companies, with an emphasis on ethnic and gender diversity.

He is the founder of Montgomery West Executive Search. Prior to that he held senior human resources roles in the major San Francisco corporations.

He has been recognized in Black Enterprise Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, various local and national tabloids, as well as "Who's Who" in African American Executives.

Reid received his bachelor's degree in behavioral sciences from Mansfield University and a master's in education from Elmira College in 1976. He also completed a graduate study from Cornell's School of Industrial and Labor Relations.
